This job coincided with Julian Brady coming into sitedesign as a Director.  Julian and I worked at Patio together on some really cool stuff.  We worked well together there and thought it would work great as partners in SD.  Julian has a great design style along with good environmental knowledge and awareness.   Not only this but he has some great contacts in the industry.  Prior to this the majority of SD’s work was in the residential sector.  This was Julian’s project from our northern suburbs office.  I love what he has done with planting form and colour in the focal points.  Gabion walls are becoming a good environmental way of retaining levels while looking modern and stylish.  We used a similar method on a job we worked on in Spain so I can see where he got the inspiration and technique.  Native plants are becoming more and more ‘vouge’ which is a good direction.  This was a good initiation into SD.  I am glad Jules is working for us.
